About

Put bluntly, I’m a bit of a geek. I love technology and the Internet, but I also love pretty things (that are technological - I’ll never understand diamonds) so because of that I’ve ended up where I am today: making pretty technological things on the Internet, all things geekalicious.

I graduated from Nottingham Trent University (opens in a new window) a while back with a first class honours degree in Multimedia, and since then I’ve been back to lecture there for Multimedia as well as Direction for Television and Direction for Theatre.  Since graduating I’ve started and sold a web design agency which is still going strong, and now I’m working freelance as a developer / designer.

I like to work on projects that make me smile and that I think give something back, projects like the NanoWhat? website (opens in a new window) that I just completed that encourage learning in Science (and are just fun to be part of.) At the moment I’m a bit of a nomad - my workplace ranges from my home office to cafes and media centres in town like Broadway (opens in a new window).

I live in Nottingham with my lovely wifelet Kate who works for the police fighting crime, and most nights we can be found settled on the sofa watching a new movie from Love Film (opens in a new window) and arguing about whether I’m allowed to make popcorn (she hates the smell and I always burn the pan in the process.)
